Nadia Payet has had a long journey — literally and figuratively — to graduation. Payet is a native of Réunion, a tiny French island in the Indian Ocean, more than 10,000 miles and two days of travel away from Corvallis. And her journey to graduation has taken a few twists and turns along the way.The atrium at OSU’s Kelley Engineering Center was the venue where a group of shuffleboard-playing robots — yes, robots—caused quite a commotion. The robots were designed and built by 36 ECE, ME and CS students taking an interdisciplinary applied robotics class. Read more in the Corvallis Gazette-Times.The Future of Medical Monitoring. New research by electrical engineers at OSU has confirmed that an electronic technology called "ultrawideband" could hold part of the solution to an ambitious goal in the future of medicine — health monitoring with sophisticated "body-area networks."
